Ride & Drive Day- March 2019 Recap

A great day was had by all with some customers driving in excess of 300km to attend our SprayerBarn Ride & Drive Day.

Representatives from Trimble, SST, Goldacres and Mcintosh (Miller) were there to put the sprayers and the precision guidance systems through their paces.

The Goldacres G4 and Miller 6333 Self Propelled sprayer had all the good gear on board. Precision IQ firmware, GFX750 and TMX 2050 consoles, auto rate and section control, auto boom height control and auto pilot steering with next swath technology.

Connected Farm technology from Trimble was on display, connecting the Sprayer to the office. No more saving information onto a stick drive and taking it to your computer at a later date. With Connected Farm, live updates are delivered to your office computer before you even get there.

“This synchronised data recording and storing variables such as the date of application, paddocks sprayed, chemical application and application rate along with weather conditions is collected and stored and used as a reference”, said Daniel Szymkow of SprayerBarn. “ This information when referenced to yield at harvest can be very powerful in determining decisions for the following season."

Roger from Sprayerbarn said ..“Vehicle sync and a connected farm feature enables multiple sprayers (or tractors, spreaders etc.) to enter the one paddock at the same time and communicate so no work is doubled up. Information is freely shared between all machines and the office to ensure an efficient application/ spray.”

"Next Swath" Autoturn technology was on demonstration and was a hit with all that drove the system. Operators were able to use Next Swath in the field to understand its productivity gains and ease of use with this new technology.

Stand alone GPS was also featured for those that still need precision steering and the ability to move the GPS screen between machines.

Overall, a great day and some impressive technology now available to all SprayerBarn customers.
